Kevin got his musical influence from his grandfather who played clarinet and saxophone with Benny Goodman and Paul Whiteman (Big Band stuff). His dad also played drums in the 50’s and made an album. Kevin started playing drums when he was 9 years old, being influenced by such bands as Rush, Boston, Chuck Berry – pretty much anything that had a good rockin’ beat. He played with several local bands for a few years until he found out his voice wasn’t that bad. Kevin started taking voice lessons from a classical opera teacher at the age of 15. That’s when he became a full frontman. He went on to do several projects and small tours along with some jingles and commercials in the studio. From there, Kevin got picked to sing in Las Vegas with a rock band called Axis. After coming back from there, he auditioned for another touring project and was chosen to head that band which toured Europe, Spain, Portugal, France etc. After returning from the tour, Kevin started a family and put music on hold for a while, just doing mostly small shows with local bands to get his musical fix. Eventually he joined the band Big Guns and has played with them for a number of years in the Hudson Valley. Now, after joining BedRock, Kevin is glad he’s back out there again, having fun, and also hopes to become a positive influence on new up-and-coming artists.
